Delhi Liquor Policy After 4 hours search and brothers arguments with ED Officers this is how K Kavitha Arrested


K Kvitha Arrest: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader and former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao’s daughter K. Kavita was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday (March 15). Earlier, the agency and Income Tax Department raided his Hyderabad residence for several hours. This arrest of K Kavita is regarding the Delhi Excise Policy case in which she is an accused.

At least 10 officials from both the agencies, who reached Hyderabad from Delhi during the day, searched Kavita and her husband D Anil Kumar in the presence of them. After this, when the ED took him into custody, Kavitha’s brother and BRS working president KT Rama Rao and his cousin T Harish Rao reached his residence. Both of them got into an argument with ED officials demanding to see the transit warrant.

What happened at Kavita’s house?

According to Panchnama, a legal document related to the arrest, ED officials introduced themselves to Kavita and showed her the search warrant. The entire premises was thoroughly searched by the search team. Without causing any damage to property. The search started at 1.45 pm and ended at 6.15 pm. Kavita’s voluntary statement was also recorded during the search process. After due process of law, he was arrested at 05.20 pm under Section 19 of PMLA, 2002. Five mobile phones were seized.

Around 6 pm, around 20 people entered the premises illegally. These people introduced themselves as Kavita’s brother, lawyer and other people. No one revealed his identity. After this there was an uproar due to which the proceedings were delayed. No one’s religious sentiments were hurt during the search proceedings.

IT and ED had recently issued a notice to Kavita to appear to record her statement, but she had appealed against the notice in the Supreme Court and refused to appear.
